This recording (there are others) of Buzz Aldrin on the moon was apparently made independently of NASA by an amateur radio enthusiast, Larry Baysinger, in Kentucky. It ties in well with the NASA archive but doesn't have the additional voices from Mission Control & Michael Collins in the Command Module and seems to be a genuine recording of the speech of the astronauts directly from the moon. I think this is further evidence, if any were needed, that the event actually occurred...
