This recording (there are others) of Buzz Aldrin on the moon was apparently made independently of NASA by an amateur radio enthusiast, Larry Baysinger, in Kentucky. It ties in well with the NASA archive but doesn't have the additional voices from Mission Control & Michael Collins in the Command Module and seems to be a genuine recording of the speech of the astronauts directly from the moon. I think this is further evidence, if any were needed, that the event actually occurred...
I recently came across this old (half-used) pack of Blu-Tack. I'd guess from the style it's from the 1970s. I think it's interesting how it looks familiar but slightly strange at the same time...
There are some photos I took at my local pub of the Hallowe'en celebrations there.
Cinebox was a rival to the better known Scopitone video jukeboxes of the 1960s. Cinebox used 16mm film with an optical soundtrack but with a non-standard spacing between sound and picture, Scopitone was also 16mm but with a magnetic soundtrack. Color-Sonics was the other rival and they used 8mm film cartridges again with magnetic sound.
